Property Information Questionnaire - Guidance

PIQ's - Guidance on Creating/Editing & Archiving: Print this page for reference.
Following: “Register as a User> “Login” > Control Panel: "PIQ's"

Download the appropriate PIQ: (General Version? or New Homes Version?)
“General Version": Use this version for all properties; unless it is:
"A
property being designed or built, the construction of which maybe complete, but has never been occupied."- - - if it is - - - t
hen use the “New Homes Version"

Complete the document to any extent   
> “File; Save As” on the PC being used to create the PIQ.

After the document has been
“Saved” to a recoverable file, go to: 
Control Panel;
“My Account > PIQ(s)” > “Add New PIQ” > in Section 1 - Address; complete the address of the property; > in Section 2 - PIQ Document; click “Browse” and find the saved PIQ.       "left, double click" the document; which will transfer a copy to the website.
Whilst on the same page; go to: Section 4-Confirm; click “Create”. A copy of this PIQ will then be listed under PIQ - Manager.
Documents and website can now be closed and re-opened without the loss of any data.

To recall a PIQ:
"left single click" on the Property address under PIQ - Manager.                  
 In Section 2; Current click “Download” > then “Open”, to view that PIQ.
To Edit a PIQ:
"left single click"on the Property address under PIQ - Manager. In Section 2; Current, click "Browse" > find the recoverable file. After editing; "Save Changes" and "Close".
To upload the edited version: click "Browse" > find the recoverable file; "left, double click" the document;which will transfer a copy to the website. Click "Update" which will overwrite/replace the previous document and automatically update "Last Modified" in the PIQ Manager.

It is not necessary to: Section 3 - Archive until after the PIQ is complete and by ticking/un-ticking the box "(include this PIQ in the HIPSIS archive)";
followed by: Section 4-Confirm > click “Update”, to install or uninstall the PIQ from the HIPSIS archive

Please Note:
For security reasons; it is strongly recommended that a PDF copy be made of the completed PIQ and uploaded to the HIPSIS Archive.
Apply the knowledge gained from the above, to replace a PIQ with an updated version, remembering that most corrections and additions can be edited in.
Dates which appear adjacent to PIQ's, from
Control Panel, are auto-updated by use of the website.
Created and Last Modified dates will be visible, when viewing an Archived PIQ.
Public can view a PIQ/HIP, from: www.myhipsis.co.uk  “SEARCH THE HIP/PIQ ARCHIVE”- - - - -                             - - - - All of which is FREE and requires no login
